About Us

Smith Valley Baptist Church was planted in 1997 by Archie & Becky Walker.  Archie & Becky moved to Smith Valley sensing the Lord's call to pioneer missions.  Archie was pastor from 1997 until 2004, when God called them to Vermont to begin a new work there.  Their son, Travis become pastor in 2005.  God continues to pour out His blessings on Smith Valley Baptist Church, and we are grateful for the opportunites He gives us to minister to our community!

Travis and Summer Walker moved to Smith Valley in 2001 to serve in Youth Ministry at Smith Valley Baptist Church. Travis become the senior pastor in 2005, and has a passion for preaching and teaching the Word of God. Travis and Summer have two beautiful children, Hannah and Isaac.
